The defamatory and false personal information created by PC Martin had a devastating impact on my wife - referred to here as Mrs D. She is a reputable artist and singer, a wife and mother, and someone who built her reputation through many years of hard, dedicated work. In one stroke, that reputation was destroyed. The loss of reputation is profound and continues to affect every aspect of her life.
The wide dissemination of her false police profile made her a target for racist abuse, threats to kill, and ultimately violent hate crimes, including a grievous bodily harm attack. Because investigating officers relied on the false Intelligence report, every one of these crimes was closed with No Further Action.
These failures destroyed her creativity, her confidence, and her ability to continue her artistic work. This is a great loss for her personally and for the wider community that valued her talent.
The hostile environment created by violent hate crimes and racial abuse led to our daughter leaving our home. For over five years she has been a missing person. The police have refused to confirm her welfare or make meaningful efforts to find her.
I have made a public appeal on YouTube titled “Appeal to find missing daughter Marta Lopatynska-de-Slepowron”, asking for help to locate her.
The consequences for me have been equally severe. For more than a decade, I have been forced to write complaints to the police, submit appeals to the IOPC, engage with the ICO, and repeatedly ask the police to accept accountability for creating and circulating defamatory false personal data. This misinformation misled police officers, Tribunal judges, Haringey Council’s ASBAT, and CICA officials.
We suffered three years of anti‑social behaviour and years of wrong decisions by public authorities who relied on the false profile. Despite all this, the police have consistently protected PC Martin from accountability and ignored the damage done to our family.
